Bodies and lenses are the easy part. Acutance also tracks the filters, step-up rings, gels, cables and batteries, the things that actually go missing, and the things you cannot remember the price of when an insurer asks.
A template kit is a list you build a shoot from: one lens can belong to as many as you like. A case is a physical bag, and an item lives in exactly one. Keeping those separate is why a packing list maps to the bags in your car.
Packing freezes a manifest. When you wrap, the app compares what came back against that exact snapshot and gives you a short, specific list, before you leave the location, not the next morning.

An inquiry form you can embed on your own site feeds a booking pipeline; contacts keep the whole history; and the gear a shoot needs is a link away. The client side and the gear side are the same system.
Send a quote, a contract or a location release. The client opens a link, reads it and signs (no account, no app), and every signature is stored with the signer, the time, and a hash of exactly what they agreed to.
A dashboard built for photographers: the local weather and the exact golden-hour and blue-hour windows for today, the week ahead from your calendar, and a short list of what actually needs you now: an overdue invoice, an expiring quote, a client waiting on a reply.

One file: an itemized schedule with photographs, the full data as CSV, and every receipt and serial-plate photo foldered by item. Proof of ownership you can hand a broker or attach to a claim, not a schedule whose photos live only on a drive that could go missing along with the gear.
Estimated resale from what you paid, how old it is, and what kind of gear it is, drawn from published used-market data. Always a range, never a single confident number, and your own figure always overrides ours.
Full CSV and JSON export. Your data is always yours to take with you. The export even round-trips: edit two hundred rows in Excel, import it back, and they update rather than duplicate. It works offline, and syncs when you are back.
Import a spreadsheet you already keep, or add items by photographing the serial plate. Acutance reads what it can and leaves the rest to you.
